WELCOME STRANGERS AND FRIENDSwhy not waste some time here eh?...
December 25 Endersleigh, BASTARDS!Well, maybe their not that bigger bastards because they have made a huge loss due to giving me an insurance policy, but maybe they'd be "cunts" if they'd decided not to pay out.
The situation at the moment is that im getting their slowly, its taken ages but ive finally been allowed to send off an invoice for a new computer, which is much faster, but wont arrive for a while, so im going to have to redo my economics essay (which i am really not happy about!!)
Anyway, reaping the rewards my new computer should be:
December 11 Righto, Im going to start doing this blog thing properly....Subject: University
Righto, Im going to start doing this blog thing properly....
Ok, so its 01:15, im sobering up, and ive decided that now im going to university im going to start doing a more up to date blog.
The first term of uni was brilliant, much parties, fun, meeting new people, climbing, learning, experience, i think there all pretty apt words.
Since i've broken up i've been up to durham for a week, then yesterday, saw pendulum, again, (for free!!) at aura, and tonight, parents silver wedding, hence the drunkardness.
This term has been good, i'm sure i'm on the right course, at the right university, and in a house with the right people, no regrets about that at all. It was weird going to Hatfield in Durham, its completely different, for a start it's catered, which removes the need for a kitchen in halls and basically just leaves halls as bedrooms with one main common room. The layout and feel to it was nothing like warwick, it was much more like the boarding houses at queens than the warwick, more "houselike" accomidation. It's strange, because the people were all very different too, maybe it's because of the courses, and the university itself, but hatfield was full of people who i'm more used to being around, i guess some people would say "more private school" or "single sex college" even though a lot of them werent. Now this has advantages and disadvantages, on the upside, it would mean more looking after, and less debates/differences in opinions, and perhaps i would have felt more comfortable there during the first week than i did at warwick. However, there is something good about making friends with people you would not neccisarily talk to, (i.e. very city-geared people) or perhaps more to the point never even meet. And there is also something very good about being immersed in groups of people where everyones opinion differs, because it gives you a different perspecitve, and allows you to question your own views, if that makes any sense. And at the end of the day you make just as gooder friends with people your not used to being around as you would with those who you are, so it's definately a good thing as a whole.
On the bad side of university, I feel i've screwed people around, people who know me know what i'm talking about. I seem to be very bad at understanding my own feelings i have towards people, and when i hurt people i it makes me feel pretty bad too. But thats been the only negative side to it aside from school, well that, and spilling cider all over my computer, that was pretty bad, and i'm still waiting for the insurance company to sort that out!
I could go on and on about all the stuff i've done, but to be honest, it's pretty pointless me doing that, but i will summarise it, I've been to some good concerts at university, Sigur Ros, Subways, Pendulum (x2), and I hope there is some more next term. And ive had some good nights out too, including some very drunken ones. Climbing 10 hours a week has been a welcome break from what very little work im doing, and from the general stress at university, not to mention it keeps me fit. Cooking and washing and tidying have been fine, although with the cooking i think i will have to think more carefully about what im spending when my bank balance starts to get lower.
Anyway, its quite late so i'm going to go to bed, I will upload some photos fairly soon. September 10 The Velocity Of HoneyAn Update after all these weeks..
OK So i've been really busy and had kinda forgotten about Spaces, but here you go im back again.
Ive been working 40 hours a week on nightshifts, driving a forklift at COOPS South west redistrubution warehouse, its pretty good work, cause it means i can get up at 2pm and have till 10pm before i have to go to work.. (i work 2200-0600) and the pay is good too at £6.50 an hour.
Aside from that i got my A level results, which were good (AAA), meaning i got into warwick university on my engineering course which starts on the 26th September, in fact 2 weeks today, and also means i have to travel to london this week for a scholarship interview, that would be nice, £2400 for basically going to university and having a wicked time, i'll still be in debt.
Ive been doing a lot of mountain biking on the quantocks as well, in fact im tempted to open a website full of photos of that.
I advise you to watch Walt Disneys Alice in Wonderland from 1952, to read a book called the velocity of honey, and to listen to the new sigur ross album takk.
July 26 Back in EnglandYes, i'm back (and I can't say ive missed it). I'd talk loads about the holiday but theres so much and i cant be bothered right now, there are some pictures from switzerland and madrid, the paris ones are yet to come. Katie has a rant on her space, and yes, were back together since paris.
I also have a sweet new car (well, ok my dad bought it) Mondeo Zetec TurboDCi (03) which I will take out to olivers tonight, it goes ridiculous speeds.
I also got a parking ticket from thirteen senses from last may come through the post. July 10 IM IN EUROPE. WHOO!Paris,Geneva,Interlaken,Geneva,Madrid. I'll be back on the 25th. No Updates till then. July 07 TO CLARIFY THE HAIRCUT & OTHER THINGSit seems my rumored haircut has caused some turmoil. Well, it's not that bad, and I will show you below, the first pictures are BEFORE and the others are AFTER. Yes, i am wearing the same top in both but a blue collared shirt under after.
It's not very different, as you can see.
Meanwhile, my car broke, I lost gears 2,4,R on the gearbox. However, we have just bought a new Mondeo Zetec 2.0TDci (ekkk,, diesel, dad says it's fast though, will see when i get back from holiday, and i had better not crash this one). It is again silver with black trimmings.
Kings Of Leon ROCKED, they are so immensely cool. it was quite rough, not violent, and just like.... YAHHHHRHH! singing along to KOL. Another incredibly cool thing is their support band, called the Features, I bought there album today, £13?! a bloody rip off, but i couldnt be bothered to walk down to Martian Records and save myself 3 quid. I advise you to check them out.
Also, I'm off to Paris, Interlaken, Madrid with my mates, the ones who could afford it, (they exist honest) on Monday, so no posts for a couple of weeks.
Anyway, the pics, 3 before, 3 after...
PS. Notice the new profile photo, I used one of the ones below, I know the Psycadelic colours were cool, and I can't actually remember how I did it, (anyone v good with PSP and know?) ive changed it for that one, which uses one of the pictures below, it's good but it's a bit too dark and theres not enough psycadelia involved, but the old one is virging on 2 years ago... I'll find something else cool soon. July 05 Single AgainYup, has been over 6 months but once again single, free and ready to fly... (not that i particually feel like doing that at the moment) it was amicable, and for the best and i feel no different for her so no tears or sympathy needed.. but yah...
