Approval of Persistent Storage Technology(ies) - DTLA hereby notifies Adopter of certain proposed amendments to the DTCP Specification attached for Adopter review as described below.
DTLA has approved the following technology(ies) for the persistent protected storage of content that has been delivered using DTCP, pursuant to Appendix B, Part 1, Section 2.2.1 of the Adopter Agreement: SAFIA, licensed by the SAFIA Group.
DTCP-IP is approved by CableLabs for use on all unidirectional and bidirectional digital cable products under the DFAST, PHILA, CHILA, and DCAS licenses. This will promote a major advance in digital home networking of audiovisual and audio entertainment content -- enabling seamless transmission of protected cable content throughout the home, networked to other home gateways, servers, and content display and recording devices.
DTCP-IP also is approved for use by the Digital Living Network Alliance (“DLNA”), and by the DVD Copy Control Association ("DVD CCA") to protect digital outputs from DVD Players and Integrated Products.
The localized version of DTCP-1394 is approved for use by the High-definition Audiovisual Network Alliance ("HANA").
