General
This one's too easy Trying to make it to 60 is my main goal. That'll be interesting. My second passion is trying to make people aware of all the stuff going on with our planet.

WARNING! DON'T PUSH THE
MOTHER EARTH BUTTON
IF YOU DON'T CARE HOW
YOUR MOM HAS BEEN DOING!

Music
Well...

I like all these '60's bands, which are a small part of my album cover collection, and more. If you were around in the '60's and early '70's, have a look. Guaranteed an instant trip down memory lane.
As for newer stuff, I like Greenwheel, Dropline, Coral, Death Cab For Cutie. The Bevis Frond, Woven Hand, Wallflowers, Gin Blossoms, Sparta, Imogen Heap, Aimee Mann, Built To Spill, No FX, Bad Religion, Kill Hannah, Eliot Morris, Sarah Brightman (the most beautiful voice on the planet), No Doubt, Lucinda Williams (OMG what a sexy voice you have baby!). Rainer Maria, The Tragically Hip, Bob Marley, Lunachicks, Pennywise, Eleventh Dream Day, Sonic Youth, Belinda Carlisle, Dead Milkmen, Yo Lo Tengo, Drive-By Truckers, Jan Arden, Butthole Surfers, Killing Heidi, Fountains Of Wayne, Throwing Muses, Morphine, Stereolab, Rain Parade, Great Big Sea, Anna Nalick, The Minutemen, Afghan Whigs, and so much more. I'm not sure what I like better though. Psychedelic '60's Acid Rock? Or Post Death Gloom Pseudo Industrial Techno Emo Shoe Gazer Sub Pop? Acid Rock concerts in Griffith Park were fun, even if you did get beat by the police, but rioting, after a PIL Social D Butthole Surfer concert at the Shrine Auditorium, was pretty much up there with the best of them.

All time favorite album:

All time favorite song:

From the same album
"I've Been Waiting For You"

About the RIAA thing:

Lock em up and throw away the key!
Thieving little bastards!

Movies
In no particular order.Big Trouble In Little China, Romancing The Stone, Ronan, Kiss Of The Dragon, Bourne Identity, Nosferatu (F.W. Murnau version 1921,), and Nosferatu: Phantom Der Nacht (Werner Herzog). Der Nibelungen and Kriemhilds Revenge (Fritz Lang 1924), Fritz Lang was a master at special effects, even though most of his movies are from the 1920's. If you get a chance, check them out. I saw Der Nibelungen and Kriemhilds Revenge at Graumans Chinese Theater. The guy who played the music at the opening in Berlin in 1924 also provided the accompaniment at the shows I saw. Lang was bitter that Hitler used Der Nibelungen as a propaganda tool for his Aryan supremacy crap. But not Kriemhilds Revenge because of the portrail of a woman of strength. I guess the idea of strong women made Adolph's little 2"er shrink. Much in the same way as he twisted Friedrich Nietzsche Uber Man into a "superman", with boundless power, rather than "over man" or one who transcends the pettiness of human existence, and seeks a higher plane of consciousness, which is more in line with Nietzsche's vision.
Un Chien D'andalou (Louis Bunuel and Salvador Dali), Swept Away by an Unusual Destiny in the Blue Sea of August, (Lina Wertmuller version) The Seduction of Mimi (Also by Lina Wertmuller. She makes great movies), Francis the Talking Mule, The Hunger, (Susan Sarandon, and Catherine Deneuve getting it on at the end was too hot!), River Of No Return, (My favorite Marilyn Monroe movie), and a few hundred more.

Television
Ah yes, the stupid ad distribution unit.Buffy, Angel, 24 (maybe the best series EVER!), Charmed, CSI (L.V. original), Bones, The Dresden Files (didn't last too long), Best Places To Find Cash and Treasure, Discoveries This Week, and all that other Science, Discovery, and History channel stuff. National Geographic Channel, Any shows about surfing. Local News (if it bleeds, it leads! lol) BBC World New U.S. Edition (I don't trust American news any more).

Books
Reading. One of the lost arts"Jitterbug Perfume", (Tom Robbins [I have a signed copy.]).
"Blood Sport A Journey Up The Hassayampa", (Robert F. Jones).
"Even Cowgirls Get The Blues", (Tom Robbins).
"Revenge Of The Lawn", "Rommel Drives Deep Into Egypt", "In Watermelon Sugar" (Richard Brautigan).
"Lord Of The Rings" (JRR Tolkien's Trilogy).
"The Book [On The Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are]", (Alan Watts).
"The Outsider", (Colin Wilson).
"Twilight Candelabra An Obserdly Disrespectful Love Story And Uptight Pornographic Allegory", (William J. Craddock).
"Venus On The Half Shell". (Kilgore Trout [Kurt Vonnegut]).
"Be Here Now" (Ram Dass [Richard Alpert]).
The Sheep Look Up & Stand On Zanzibar (both by John Brunner),
The Foundation Trilogy (Isaac Asimov)
A Canticle For Leibowitz (Walter M. Miller Jr.)
My eyes aren't worth a crap anymore, so I haven't read anything in some time. You can tell because these titles are dated. But they are all still a good read! Since my memory is in about the same shape as my eyes, I'll be adding more as I think of them. There were so many, that were so good!

Heroes
We all need our heroesBobby Kennedy, (I was a campaign worker for him and was at the Ambassador Hotel that night he was shot).

My Sons mom, Linda. For working so hard to take care of 3 kids by herself. (ain't she cute?)

Neil Young, for never selling out.

"Ain't singin' for Pepsi
Ain't singin' for Coke
I don't sing for nobody
Makes me look like a joke"

My Dad, for taking me to Fellini and Bridgette Bardot movies when I was 6, teaching me to never get in a pissing contest with a skunk, and that the Republican Party never did a damn thing for the working man in this country.

My Mom, for putting up with me and my crap, for so many years, and finally smoking a fatty with me and Barb, when she was 65, and enjoying it.

My Step Father for caring when he didn't have to.

Anyone who is passionate about the Earth, and our proper place in it, as stewards of all the fauna and flora. From Elephants to Ants, and Redwoods to Dandelions.

Whistleblowers

Thomas Jefferson
"The essential principles of our Government... form the bright constellation which has gone before us and guided our steps through an age of revolution and reformation. The wisdom of our sages and blood of our heroes have been devoted to their attainment. They should be the creed of our political faith, the text of civic instruction, the touchstone by which to try the services of those we trust; and should we wander from them in moments of error or of alarm, let us hasten to retrace our steps and to regain the road which alone leads to peace, liberty and safety."
1st Inaugural Address, 1801

Anyone who fought with the Allies, in WWII! Not to take away anything from those who fought other battles, but you guys are my heroes! Especially the 14,275,000+ combatants, who gave their lives. And a prayer for the 27,375,000+ civilians on both sides, who lost theirs in the fighting as well.

Asteroid Hunters

Anyone who took the time to actually read all this crap!

About me:
My home page

This excerpted piece below by Camillo "Mac" Bica a 2nd Lieutenant Viet Nam war vet with the 26th Marines sums up a lot of how I feel about Iraq. You ought to give it a read before continuing so you don't waste too much of your time trying to figure out where I'm at, in case you don't like the scenery when you get there.

High! Welcome to the Official angryhippy Fan page. When I first came here to myspace, I found to my surprise that a lot of people I thought were dead, had profiles. Then someone told me that those were fan pages and not the real dead people. Well this was a great disappointment for me, since I was looking forward to discussing optical abberations while standing on a neutron star, with Einstein. sigh...Anyway after recovering from that (insert Homer Simpson voice here--->) DOH! moment, I thought that since half the time I wish I were dead (only so I could finally have that talk with Albert of course), then that must qualify me to run my own fan page. And here, I bet you thought it was some sort of narcissistic trip huh? Anyway (I start a lot of sentences with anyway. Don't have a clue why!) my name's Payton Chacalos (pronounce it anyway you like), but my friends call me P, Count Choculous, angryhippy, Chuckles, Pontoon, Pecan Chocolate Nuts, the (crazy) Greek, Hair Farmer, and of course from my Republican former friends, Fuckin' Long Haired Doper Hippy Commie Scum Bag which I don't mind as it is very colorful, though I never did have any commie leanings. (see? Everyone really is considered a friend.) A lot of people told me not to put too much personal stuff on here, but hey! the DEA and INTERPOL know me pretty well already, so why not you. It's not like Chester The Molester is gonna start stalking me or something. If he did, I'd sic my trojan_angryhippy .downloader on him that would wipe out his hard drive while continually flushing his toilet, and turning every song in his entire mp3 collection into My Way by Frank Sinatra. Just check it out on snopes.com if you don't believe me! Anyway, I'm a crazy old hippy who likes to complain and play with computers. I used to be a commercial photographer (evidence, crime/accident scene unwarranted murder by police but not considered a crime scene crime scenes. etc.), but got burnt out. Now I do photography for me, which is a lot more satisfying. I'm working on getting me a digital camera, cause film and prints are too damn expensive, but except for the crappy camera in my cell phone, I'm stuck with what I have I guess. I sold all the good stuff long ago during Ronny-Ray-Guns and George (I'm proud to be the first really crappy president with that name) Bush Seniors rich people are pissing and it's trickling down on you "trickle down" fun economic policy days. I have posted a few pics in the My Photos album section that I took sometime somewhere down the line. If you want to use any of them for anything that is not for profit, feel free. I love to share my pics and my poems. If you want to make money with them, (I just ROFLED), then shoot me a kite, we'll negotiate.
My eyesight sucks, so I use large print which makes the page kinda long. Sorry about that. I also like bright colors. If the page is a bit too much for you to look at, then hit Ctrl+A and you can view the print on the page in black and white (blue and white actually). Ok...let's get on with the 2 bit tour of the mind of an angryhippy then! If using the word hippy, instead of hippie bothers you, tough shit. We don't give a fuck about labels anyway.
angryhippy logos use only clean burning LNG!

If you are into music and you're old like me hopefully there's something here you haven't heard. If you're young like me, then hopefully there's something here you haven't heard. Either way, enjoy the tunes. The volume level jumps around so if you like it loud be careful you don't blow away the neighbors accidently. If the music doesn't load right away, you may need to refresh the page. If you use Firefox there's a 50/50 chance the music won't play at all. Sorry! Try the IE Tab add-on if you really want to hear it. In fact try the IE Tab anyway. That finally allows you a clean break with Internet Explorer, and you can now even use Firefox for your windows updates. Finally!
Anyway, come join me for some cool tunes then.
Or you can light up and leave me alone if you'd like.
If you're wondering what the hell these singers are saying, I'd suggest you check out Sing365.com
The songs, by Tim Buckley are from his Goodbye and Hello album, which I think is the best psychedelic rock album from the '60's! As compared to the Chocolate Watch Band which was the best acid rock garage band of the '60's. If you get the chance, drop a tab, listen to both, then decide for yourself.
WHOOPS! I hear my train a comin' GTG!
Enjoy the music, please!

Before we do that though, here's a brief State Of Disunion message from our fearless leader St. George The Dicktater followed by the official angryhippy response delivered by
Miss Kate Nash (love your accent darlin')

I'm a cat person. I had 10 cats at the beginning of 2007, but I'm now down to 3. They are all quite old. Walther PPK was going on 19 when he died. So many tears for such a little creature. They say Cats teach you about yourself. So true. When you have that many, the pride mentality takes hold, and you see them in a new light. I also have 2 feral cats in the back yard. Snake hisses when I come near, but after 5 years she let me pet her. Now she knows what she's been missing The other one Dog (yes I named my cat Dog), is still shy. I'm working on her but I'm losing hope (she's probably still pissed about getting spayed lol). They have a nice home though. I never cut the grass in the back yard. The grass and the weeds are so nice when they are tall. It's my butterfly habitat, and cat hunting area.

The angrycat Habitat, behind the angryhouse

It would be nice to meet some mellow laid back people who think just kickin it is an acceptable expenditure of time.

I'm currently into imaginary drugs. I must be because I keep saying "Whoa dude! I think I'm trippin'!" Other than that, I'm alcohol and drug free (my doctors decision not mine), going on 9 years, except for the crap my doctors give me. Antidepressants to stop the voices j/k, Vicodin (Can't stand downers but it makes my back feel better). I'm betting someone out there is thinking "dude send them to me". LOLz They actually started giving me pills for my pills. That didn't last long. Screw that!
EDIT: Well there goes 9 years of sobriety. The doctor still can't decide if he wants to be a doctor or a cop. So he took away my Vicadins, the first thing in 8 years that actually helped. Ah what the hell. The herb works better anyway.
I'm also an elderly geek in training, and like to help people out that are having issues with their PC's. If you have a question, or need some help, let me know. If you're into PC's (not personal confusers, computers!) and you're a geek, and into all that stat shit, I'm running an E6400 at 3.4GHz on an ABIT AB9, with a Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme, and 2 gigs of GEIL Ultra PC2-800 at 850MHz 4-4-4-12-2T, and a PNY XLR8 8800GT. You can go here and see pics of my system, but you'll probably go into a noob rage, and start crying, when you realize I'm poor but my system owns yours big time anyway! Enough of the bragging stuff.
I'm into '60's music (of course), but I like almost everything. Almost. Not real crazy about rap, though I've heard some things I liked. Sound effects don't turn me on much either. Except I have this birds in a rain forest one that's kind of cool.

If you wanna be my friend so I can troll your
porno/web cam site, don't bother.
I don't need to go there for a good time.

I wonder why I bother to put this stuff in here. The web cam crap keeps coming so nobody actually reads this stuff. So how about this? LOL If you want me to add your web cam site send me a message telling me in VERY graphic detail just why YOUR site is different enough from the rest to make me want to add you, or load up a bunch of crapware and virii, or download the myspace adult content viewer trojan, just to take a peek? "I'm new here and my friends told me to put up a page", or "My friend has this real hot site" or "You can find me on this other website here" isn't going to get it. "My friend took some pictures of me, that you can see on this other site" to me means I'm a really ugly person, or I don't exist. If you do exist and aren't ugly then post some regular pics on your page. What's that you say? Tom doesn't allow those kind of pictures? Oh wait...let me look in the mirror to see if I have my "I'm fuckin' stupid!" T-shirt on. Nope, sorry, you lose! And I don't need a dinosaur singles dating service for people over 50 either, thank you! And hey! myspace people. Those fake pot buddah bud crap web site things. Those are all identity theft phishing sites from China. Try Banana peel instead. It's safer and doesn't work either. Anyway, enough of the cyber bimbo, dumb ass myspace shit.
If you're a gay guy and want to send me one of those sparkley "Showin' some love" thingys, that's cool. I'm not homophobic and don't have issues with the gay scene, male or female, even though I'm straight (straight...what a lame choice of terms. Does that make you like bent if you're gay?). I mean Jez, I know guys who are in love with their friggin cars for Christs sake. Now THAT'S perverted!! lolz Bottom line is if you're gay and want to be my friend, that's fine. Bring it. I also don't need lenders or other commercial institutions for friends either. Read the fine print. It says add a friend, not ad a friend or spam a friend. If you wanna promote your band or your book or personal web site, or have a small home business, that's more than cool with me. If you want me to spam for big business think again. It's not gonna happen.

Take a few minutes, and check out my personal site at

Seal Hunters

MySpace has seen fit to censor the above image of a gruesome scene of Canadian Seal hunters butchering a baby seal on the ice during the annual seal hunt. Well they can censor their page, but they can't censor me. If you want to see what was removed along with a few more they can be viewed here. The picks would have only been up for a week, but now this will stay here forever, a testament to censorship!

About the Bush Thing

I just hate the guy!
A suboptimal human being if ever there was one!

and we will not rest until we find him."
George Bush 9/13/01

and really don't care. It's not that important.
It's not our priority."

Texas, and go as far south as Cabo San Lucas, in search of females, and can be seen begging for shooters at many cantinas in the spring. Alpha males, like the one on the left, will force younger males within the group, to engage in territorial fights, rather than risking injury to themselves. Considered an endangered species, environmental groups worldwide are working tirelessly to speed up their extinction.
