The RT 2000 Mega Pack 3.0 has come light years since its humble 1.0 introduction over a year ago. The system is more stable, more responsive, more powerful, and in many ways easier to use. It offers great value for the money if it is held up against other cards in its price range and can do a lot of things that usually require very expensive editing equipment to do. Of course it still isnít quite solid enough to be considered for high-end professional usage as it is missing a few things that these users would require such as real-time color correction, real-time chroma keying, and still crashes at some in-opportune times. But, it is an excellent choice for high-end consumer users, or lower end professionals such as event videographers, schools, small production houses, multimedia content creators (CDís, Internet, and interactive material), and corporate video producers.
If you find yourself as one of the target users of this fine product by all means go out and purchase one as soon as possible. This product will certainly help you with exploring new options and increase your productivity. I have one warning for prospective users though, once you go real-time it is very painful to go back.
