If you were hoping for a box full of goodies, then you best keep on looking. ECS includes a User’s Manual, Driver CD, IDE and FDD cable, and that’s it. The User’s Manual is sufficient, all connectors and slots are documented properly, as are each of the BIOS settings. The Driver CD includes drivers for all Windows operating systems (NT4, 2000, 95/98/ME), as well as a copy of PC-cillin anti-virus, and the WinDVD software DVD player.
Physically the board is of normal dimensions, and there are no layout issues that can potentially cause trouble during installation. The latest chipset drivers should be downloaded from SiS’ website, and installed prior to installation of any other drivers in order to ensure maximum stability.
