Performance - Serious Sam & 3DMark

Serious Sam's fillrate test gives us an indication of what type of actual fillrate a card can deliver, and as the graphs indicated, it can be noticeably lower than theoretical maximums, particularly with Immediate Mode Renderers. It shouldn't come as a big surprise that the T&L-equipped GeForce-based cards dominate the 3DMark tests. While the Kyro II does alright by today's standards, it's clear that if STMicro wishes to remain competitive, some sort of hardware T&L will be necessary.
