Test Setup & Procedure By: Dan Mepham |
Of course, we subjected the ST6-RAID to our usual motherboard test suite. Our test setup involves continuous looping of the following programs:
Distributed.net RC5 Client, High Priority – Stresses processors
SETI at Home Client, High Priority – Stresses processors & memory bus
MadOnion 3Dmark2000 – Stresses CPU, Memory & AGP bus
Intel IOMeter, Default Access Pattern – Stresses PCI/IDE bus
NullSoft Winamp, Looped MP3 Playback – Stresses PCI bus/Sound system
The above programs are each run separately to ensure they function on their own, then are all run synchronously for 72 hours. All crashes are noted.
