Since this is our first look at a DFI product, we put DFI’s tech support system to the test, as always.
DFI does not offer a technical support phone number. Or rather, it doesn’t offer one in the Americas. DFI’s site does offer a tech support number for German customers, however since we don’t speak German, we didn’t give that one a try!
Tech support email addresses are available. Over the course of the last couple weeks, we sent two emails with questions about our board. Our first email was answered promptly, while we have yet to receive an answer to our second.
In general, this is typical of the level of technical support available from most manufacturers. In the end, you’re better off buying from a retailer you know will offer some degree of support, as you’re not likely to get much from the manufacturer, in most cases.
