Extra Features

By: Sander Sassen

This page is for advanced users only; the table below lists various other options that'll enable extra features on your Sony PC4/5 camcorder. However we've not extensively tested these so we cannot guarantee that these will work, so use them at your own risk. Some features only work on a particular model, for example, a memorystick is not used with the PC4.

There’s two things that you'll have to do every time you change a register value, you’ll have to authorize the writing of the registers and re-check the checksum before writing the registers. This basically means that you’ll have to execute the following table if you’re willing to enable these extra features.

Page Address Data original Data modified Comments
0 01 00 01 Authorizes the writing of the registers
X XX XX XX Extra register values
2 F0 XX -- Do NOT press STORE. Note value of xx for later use
