The aging Quake 3: Arena is still a popular and widely accepted benchmark, especially as the Quake 3 engine is the basis for so many other games out there. The Radeon 9700 Pro is able to literally dominate in Quake 3, as even 1280x1024 resolution and 6X Antialiasing could not bring the card below 100fps.
