  CeBIT, off to Hannover, Germany

By: Sander Sassen

Welcome back! Just a quick note to let you know I値l be off to CeBIT early tomorrow morning. It is about a four hour drive from Amsterdam to Hannover and part of the way we値l travel across the autobahn so we can push the car to at least 200km/h, which will shorten our travel time considerably. We値l arrive there before noon and then we値l hit the showfloor and have a number of meetings set up. We値l be in Hannover for two days after which we値l again be traveling back home and start working on our show report. I am planning to do a live update from the showfloor but like last year, this will probably not be possible as CeBIT lacks the facilities we've seen at, for example, IDF.

Fig 1. A look inside exhibit hall 2 of the Hannover Messe, it looks to be a great show again.

Nevertheless I値l be taking plenty of digital photos and will post those either during the two days we池e at CeBIT or shortly after, probably on friday or saturday. In case you池e not familiar with CeBIT, it is the largest computer electronics trade show in Europe and is being held at the Hannover Messe in Germany. It is very similar to Comdex in size and number of companies that come to exhibit their products, and like Comdex, many new products are being introduced during CeBIT. Expect to see lots of new products from manufactures around the world and in every category, from a simple CPU heatsink to a full featured mini-PC. It値l be an interesting trip I知 sure, so do check back tomorrow or the day after for an update.

Sander Sassen.
