Halo shows a somewhat different picture than previous two games, with the graphics cards clearly being taxed more, as when the resolution goes up, the performance goes down. So Halo is giving us a good impression of how these graphics cards scale when they’re really being taxed. At a 1024x768 resolution the performance difference is negligible, but at 1280x1024 the GeForce 6800 Ultra already starts to pull away, with an 8% performance advantage. At a 1600x1200 resolution that lead is further increased to 9.1%. When we turn on anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering we see that both cards perform similar, which would mean that the use of these features is more taxing to the GeForce 6800 Ultra than to the Radeon X800 XT.
