Doom III piants a different picture if compared to the Half Life 2 benchmark scores, clearly SLI has the advantage here. To our surprise two mid-range GeForce 6800GTs in SLI are able to easily outperform both the 7800 GT and the 7800 GTX. As expected both the GeForce 6800 Ultra and 7800 GTX in SLI turn in some impressive scores, which are far beyond the capabilities of any single card. ATI's Radeon X850XT PE is left biting the dust with a score about 50% lower that that of a GeForce 7800 GT, rather dissapointing we'd say.
