Doom III

By: Sander Sassen

Doom III has been a game where NVIDIA always had an edge over ATI, and by looking at the benchmarks not much has changed with ATIís new architecture. Although offering a significant boost over the Radeon X850XT PE the new Radeons are not able to match the performance of the GeForce 7800GT or GTX. Again we see the SLI configurations turn in the best numbers overall. Overall the Radeon X1800 Pro and XT show a healthy boost in performance, but fail to beat the SLI configurations or the GeForce 7800GT and GTX.
