Psst, Jay, you have to type your post *before* you click the 'Post' button. ;)

If you press F8 during startup, a screen will pop up giving you some boot options. One of them is 'Load Last Known Good Configuration', or something to that effect. Did you try that?

Whew, that's not good. I assume you have your Windows CD handy? If you put it in and boot from it, it has some 'repair' mode options. You can try replacing the damaged DLL with the one off the CD, or completely repairing the whole installation (basically reinstalling).

Nope. Just make sure you tell it to *repair* the current installtion, not format or reinstall. Should keep all your settings and everything intact.

I have the same "fatal error" problem. I get the blue screen with the error message before I get the chance to select the "repair" option from the CD. Basically, I can't reinstall or repair win 2000, the last known good configuration doesn't work, and I can't install XP over it. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

>> Recently Got a Dell Xeon Duel Processors 530MT Server_And Put XP Media Center in it ! !

Hello Whomever, Recently Got a Dell Xeon Duel 2.4ghz Processors 530MT Server_with an nVidia Quadro FX1000 128MB Video Card and 1gig of RDRAM___it Runs Very Quick and Smooth for a Computer that I got on the CraigsList for $200 bucks. Also got from the CraigsList a couple of 40gig Hard Drives for $20 bucks and took one of these drives and put it in the Dell Server to use as the ""C"" Drive and the 120gig Hard Drive that Came with the Dell Server I am using as the Back Up Storage ! ! ! !

I Put XP Media Center for the OS for this Unit. I love the way this Video Card Can Play the UnReal Tournament 2004 Game without any locking up of the Visuals. I bet that the Reason it is So Smooth is Cause of the Two Xeon Processors annalizing all of the Effects ! !!

Does ANYONE Have a Dell Xeon Duel Processor Server Like Mine ??? I want to Get Your Story on How You Like this Very Cool Machine __OK ! ! ! Willy :P8):P:P
