well it seems that i have really given up on this board!, fixed one problem and another came up!, and now i'm never gonna buy an ASUS!,i payed for quality and i got this,i rather buy a other brand mobo and get things working!

i would advice every'1 to leave all and just go and change this sucker!

I just bought this motherboard on thanksgiving, i installed everything on the motherboard, connected the drives and everything. I turn on the computer, its working fine and starts up normally for a couple seconds. Then it just shuts off! I kept on restarting and it keeps on doing the same thing. Please tell me what is happening here. Thank You

I had the same problems regarding the monitor turning off and the system seemed to be running... also have fx5200 vcard

change seetings in the bios

graphics aperature size=set it to 64(just set it at 64 even if your vcard is 128mb or above)
virus protection/detect on startup thingy: disable
be sure that you selected agp for videocard and not pci

if this still does not work just tweak around the bios and you will eventually fix it...

do not remember the details since my pc hasnt bugged down since and I havent visited my bios so basically I am sharing stock memory from my brain..

I currently have similar problems, but I suspect that it is the HT...
I was previously running a P4 2.4 GHz w/ no HT, but since I put in a new processor (P4 3.0 w/ HT), my comp. wont boot. I guess it's not a power problem, but a processor problem.
