By this logic, we should live in grey concrete buildings with no effort of design. After all, we can work in buildings with basic function right? Why bother designing cars to look good, they just need to get us from A to B. Good design isn't just about "entertaining simpletons". A person can get by without a personality, but they're boring and few people would enjoy their company. Same goes for little grey tools.
