OK members, wanna see those Intel processor idle and full load temps.
Please be honest, no temps with a industrial fan blowing on a open case. LOL

Guys & gals,
I'm planning to build a Intel gaming rig in the next few months and also plan to use an ATI graphics card.

This is the reason I asked for INTEL cpu temps.
I want to know on an average where to expect my temps to be at more or less.

Thanks and hope these temps keep coming in.
Jay

I think it is a common misconception that AMD runs way hotter then Intel, just to let you know, kind of an urban legend. I will say this though, AMD gives you the crappiest stock fan possible!:( I’ve never owned a modern Intel chip before, do they come with good heatsinks?

i never monitored my cpu with my old heatsink, but thermaltakes arent all that expensive and its keeping my temp below 40C at idle

I have a p4 2.66 and with the heatsink pad it ran at about 50c (bios)

I took off the pad and got some silvery(not AS3) heat sink grease and not it runs at about 46 with the stock hsf...Just make sure that you get all the pad off.

Trent,
Are those temps at full load or idle?
Also, do you use any programs or do you play any labor intensive games?

Thanks,
Jay

My hp runs at about 50c after gaming for 3hrs in higher heat conditions, no ac and it is 90f outside, and suring the internet for awhile after. My hp doesnt have a good heatsink either, i think they got to the point they dont even put a fan on it, they just run this vent thing on to the rear fan. Sad i know.
