I just wanted to mention that there were several articles around in the past which stated that overclocking a SOI chip needs new methods (except better cooling which always helps since it still is based on silicon).

But increasing vcore seems not to help.

Also the need to increase the FSB for Opteron/Athlon FX overclocking may hit more than one wall (besides the CPU also memory, HT, chipset)

Yea I hear the HT bus is a good way to get some speed outta those cjips at least my friend said it helps with whatever he has (i think a opteron 242) but i never asked. Um I cant wait to get my hands on one i wanna see what it can do using various settings. But yup its a new chip with some new things like the 64bit and the on die memory controller so it probably will be difficult to learn the new way to overclock the chip but I know if theres a way the AMD community will find it.
