hey everyone, i been away from the world of internet for about a couple of weeks due to my video card short circuiting and now i just got my new GeForce 2 GTS 32MB DDRAM and i popped it in and it FIXED all of my problems about my AGP slot being bad. But now a NEW problem has arised this time from the from the video card or i think from the nVidia drivers. i just DLed the newest nVidia drivers as of Monday April 29, 2002 and once i installed them it was perfect until i started to install 3D games: UNREAL Tournament, and RTCW (Return to Castle Wolfenstein) and when i start up UNREAL its okie but when i try to change the screen resoultion it freezes and i have to restart so i have un-installed it and will try to install it back in today. As for RTCW as i start on the first level where it shows you want your suppose to do the screens also freezes and i dont really know what to do.

is it my video card?
my nVidia drivers?
my computer?

*Note i scored what i think is a LOW score on 3DMARK2001 SE = 3027

PLEASE HELP ALL THOUGHTS ARE SUGGESTIONS ARE REALLY APPRECIATED

It might be something else in your system bottlenecking. Give us all the details, including which MB, how much RAM, which processor and how fast, ALL the PCI devices, etc.

Duron Cooled with Thermaltake Volcano 5 Heatsink and Fan (kinda loud)
ECS K7S5A with LAN (note mine is weird and has a BROWNISH PCB)

Those are my specs since then i have gotten my Unreal Tournament to run smoothly = about 70fps steady
My RTCW is still not running
NEW 3DMark2001 scores = 4688
3DMark2000 scores = 6886
This is ALL running @ Stock Speed Core and Memory
I think that the problem is that my new GeForce2 is producing ALOT of heat so i'll probably do some Xtensive cooling on it later lol

I have similar problems with my new pc which has similar specs

AMD Duron 1200
256mb DDR Ram (Single Stick)
64MB GeForce 2 MX 400
40gb HD
The motherboard is Jetway something Avance AC 97

I've tried Win95, Win98 SE and WinXP pro and problem occurs on all

it locks up and gives memory ranges every time - i'm not that techincal
so any help could be provided.
