Rebuilding my old machine with a new L4S5M mainboard. Picked up a new 1.8 gig chip for the processor and a new atx12v power supply. The machine will boot up, and it will go into bios. It will also start to boot up in windows. The problem is, it likes to turn itself off. This could happen while I'm surfing in bios, or while it's booting in Windows. I've fiddled with the settings, but can't seem to find something that is stable. It's good for about 2 minutes before shutting off. If I try to immediately boot back up, it lasts about 30 seconds, and then progressively less. If I let it sit for a while, it will be good for about 2 minutes again, before shutting off. I thought the problem might be with the power supply blocking the cpu fan (it's a micro-ATX case, so it's kind of cramped). I pulled the power supply out, placed it on top of the machine, and booted up to the same problem. Anyone have any suggestions?

What sort of PSU are you using there, Kirk? I mean manufacturer, rating and wattage. That 1.8Gig chip of yours is gonna need some juice, and if it's not getting enough, it'll be one unhappy hunk o' silicon.
