  Incorrect Average Lux Varience Calculation?
 Date Written
Greg Clare Dec 09, 2003, 05:37pm EST Report Abuse

I believe you have incorrectly calculated the average percentage varience in lux from the center screen reference value.

You appear to have simply added together all the actual lux readings (both greater than and less than the center reference value), as the basis of calculating the average varience.

As this is supposed to be the average percentage "varience" from the center measured reference value, the average varience calculation should be performed using the absolute differences in lux from the center reference lux value.

The correct average variences from the center value are 15.4%, 3.4%, and 9.1% (instead of your 11.1%, 0.3%, and 7.5% respectively).
