Ive found drivers which say they are compatible with the PS2 EYETOY, but only working with windows 98 i cannot test them however!

Can anyone here modify these drivers to work on XP? - im running xp and want my eyetoy on pc!

"These drivers allow you to plug in your EyeToy camera and use it as a web cam. They also work with the Intel CS110 Camera. I don't know what OS they work on, they work with my Windows 98, so they'll probably work with 2000. Not sure about XP though."

links here:
http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=122668

if it asks for user and pass, user = drivers , pass= all

can anyone get these to XP or kno of anyway i can use eyetoy on PC?!

cheers

chris

IF you got the driver or get it from missing files section of webattack.com and just install them into the windows system and system 32 files. then go for a install, your installer should then pick them up

I cannot get these to work on XP.
I have tried other Logitech Webcam drivers but they do not work either.
There are some logitech drivers i havent tried becuase of the download size.
I am only on a 56k connection and a 20MB download would take ages and it would be wasted time if they didnt work.
So if anyone has broadband try downloading some of driver guide and logitech website.

So has anybody found a driver for Eyetoy that would work for Windows 2000 ? The driver for Windows 98 won't even be recognized by Windows 2000. Has anybody made this work with Windows 2000 ?

Any help will be appreciated.

i think u can get a webcame cheaper than that eyetoy, and u dont have to locate drivers for it unless if produced before xp was released.

i assume that jus i think u would probably have to crack the software to work with a Webcam, In other words u dont have to pay a hicked price for a eyetoy.

I have a PC set-up next to my PS2 in my living room. Yes, of course I can easily use my more expensive webcam from my main PC but it would be a lot more convenient if I can use the same Eyetoy camera with my computer, also plugged into my TV. This is why I have been looking for a Windows 2000driver.

I've also tried using 3 of my other USB webcam with my PS2 Eyetoy and none of them work. These are the webcams I've tried:
- Logitech Quickcam pro 4000
- Creative labs NX pro
- Intel Intelicam YC76

I guess there are no drivers found yet.

These drivers did not work. I have seen W98 and Me drivers but I believe most of us are more interested with XP or W2000 drivers. Has anybody found a Windows 2000 or XP driver for the Eyetoy?

I don't believe that any other cameras will work on the PS2 because the USB ports built into the PS2 don't put out as much power as a regular PC's USB 2.0 ports.

However, there once was an item made by GameShark that plugged directly into the two USB ports on the front of the PS2... It would then up the power and number of jacks (to four). I found this particularly interesting because it would allow for a USB flash drive to be used as a memory card... Could you immagine a 256 mb PS2 card for $50!?!?

I'm trying to get the camera working right now... (win 98 se) I'll post my results momentariy;
