If you plug a USB wire from your PS2 to your PCs USB ports with the EyeToy in and the system on with the game in it, it will work...ANY WEBCAM DRIVER WORKS (Preferrably a logitech or namico)

i dont think its the drivers that are the problem, the problem is (in XP anyway) that my computer wants to try to find a program to run the EyeToy in. When i tried it, it found the driver but needed software to add the EyeToy successfully. Anyone got a webcam program that i could try to use as the EyeToy's software? it would be much aprriciated, and i will give feedback of course if i get it working (or even if i dont)

Any progress yet?
If anyone has a copy of the Win98 driver from driver guide? It's not there any more.
Also, if you had the XP driver... please let me know.
Thanks a lot.

Perhaps you prefer talking about hamsters, but if you're still interested in the Eyetoy, here are the details to get it to work. Found it on a French site (http://www.jeuxvideo.com/forums/1-18-8386802-1-0-1-0-0.htm).

- go to http://support.dlink.com/
- download the driver for DSB-C310 (select version 1.10, revision B1)
- unzip the file and modify the file OV519.inf
- replace VID_05A9&PID_8519 with VID_054C&PID_0154 (replace all)
- attach the EyeToy and point to the folder with the DSB-C310 files
- during installation a small popup will appear with the text "????", just click OK
- select your frequency (50Hz for Europe or 60Hz for US)
- done!
- to test you can use e.g. AMCAP.exe which is in the DSB-C310 folder

I have located drivers for the eyetoy camera that work on any operating system from win98 to windows xp. it works on ALL SYSTEMS. the drivers can be located at

http://sairuk.toythieves.com/eyetoy/

the only thing you need is the number from the bottom of the camera. PLEASE PICK THE CORRECT DRIVER THAT MATCHES YOUR NUMBER

all the instructions are on that site.

Yeah, that was something about the Game Consoles I didn't understand, they should quit with the regular Memory cards and simply let you use one of those 7 in 1 Drives and those USB Jump Drive Keychains PNY Pens to save games, now THATS Convience if USB actually works,(My USB Devices other than my Palm Pilot Base Station thingy and my Dell Printer/Copier/Scanner have never worked and USB hubs don't work at all,not sure why they sell them,i've already taken back two of them.) As for the Eye toy,not sure why you want to use that as a Camera and how it's convient, since you gotta un plug it,plug it in,un plug it,plug it in and it's a pain to search for software to make it work and it still may not work after finding the drivers since that device is not designed or intended to be working on a PC.But you can still buy Digital Cameras to use for a webcam or get a Webcam cheap an any Electronics store. :D Also, you can buy a Device that plugs into your monitor for about 50 dollars that will let you play your Playstation 2 on your monitor. I have an LCD TV which can have a Playstation 2 hooked up to it and I still fail to see how it would be more convient for me to use an Eyetoy as a PC Webcam.I can see it being cheaper though.

Guys, guys! I've found driver for EyeToy that work for XP!

Get a torrent user and go to ps2torrent.com. Search for "EyeToy drivers."

You should find one by BSteam (selik)

People who can't read Spanish:

(Readme.txt)
Installing these drivers is easy, just put them in your windows directory. Connect your EyeToy USB Camera to your computer, and run the "Add New Hardware" tool. Your camera is ready for use. Run the system tools in the Control Panel if you want to uninstall the drivers. XD

If you are running a specific Windows OS like ME, XP, or 2000. The OS will automatically scan for the camera and call it "EyeToy USB Camera Logitech" or "EyeToy USB Camera Namtai." Although, you still need to extract and install the drivers.

I'd have to spring 30 Dollars for a webcam that has the drivers in the box,I am too lazy to keep moving my Eyetoy from the Playstation 2 to the PC and back and Forth and dig around all day to download drivers that would probably contain a Virus or crash your whole system making it cease to work. But it's neat you got that thing to work on the PC. :D
