I am responding to the Daily Colum from July 10, 2001. This brings an interesting question to mind. I was thinking about the three versions of teh GeForce 3. There is the GeForce 3, the 3D Anihilator 3 which uses the GeForce 3, and then there is the Visiontek GeForce 3.

There may be some slight differences within the products. But the difference is almost non existant. All three Video Card reach damn near 90 Frames Per Second in some areas. I do not see a point in coming out with 3 versions of the same card.

It is exactly what they did with teh GeForce 2. They came out with a 32MB then a 64MB, and lets not forget the 64mb GeForce 2 Ultra with mind boggline Clock Rates and Detail.

If all of the cards are the same in almost every way, then what is the point of selling one for $400, and the other for less than $300. They all do almost the same. I dought an extremely small, almost non existant performance increase between the cards is enough to get an average person blow an extra $100.

What do you think?
