i own BF1942 and its one of the only games that will probably never work with a no cd crack (online at least, and online is the only way to play this game ) the internet has to check your cd for verification
but i agree, just asking for a no cd patch doesnt mean that you didnt buy the game. swapping CD's is just a pain in the ass, since i most games these days need the cd to start the game.
well if you got the disc why not clone to the hard drive, then no need to change discs... waste of space ..
cloneCD is the programme to use.
My BF42 CD cracked, its about 2cm long from the centre spindle, i formated recenlty and i thaught after about the crack in the CD, but it still worked..
i t think it was the CD player trying to eat my hand caught the disc in the draw.
Ok...for all you looking for ANY No-CD Crack/Patch whichever u prefer, http://www.gamecopyworld.com has EVERYTHING, trainers, if you want to be a cheating gomer, cracks etc. search bf1942 and youll get a whole a list of them.
I failed to mention, most of these files are in WinRAR format (i.e. nocd.rar) WinRAR is an awesome little unzipping/file compression program. It will do .zips as well, its probably free floating around somewhere, i wouldnt know because i got mine from a friend. Anyways, download the file, extract it to the folder you prefer, copy/paste the extracted files to the bf1942 folder, there u will be asked to overwrite...overwrite then WALLA! Play the game and never bend your lazy ass over to put your cd in the tray or push the button. It's awesome for all us lazy gamers out there (me ) If you don't feel safe with overwriting w/o a backup then copy that folder to another location in case you get errors to prevent a reinstall.
I don't think it'll make too much of a difference in me saying that No CD patches are illegal. ..
afaik no cd patches are not illegal, as long as you own a legal copy of the game...
I'm sitting here seraching the web for no cd patches because i dont want to get up, walk 50 meters to get my cd's and walk all the way back... (i'm at a friend)
Geeks are lacy... realize it
