evan g

ive gotten 5500 with a CELERON @ 2.5ghz and a 9800 non pro

im sure it would be easy for a 9700 pro and a p4 to get past 5000

Thats because grant the 9800 np contains a R350 core, updated R300 of course its gonna get higher. I'm not saying that 3dmark 03 is all cpu dependant, i'm saying that with a 9700 pro your not gonna get much higher than 5000 with a different processor. The fact that lawrence got 5000+ is pretty good with that card.

BTW: ATI and AMD is the best mix of both worlds ;)

Peace

the 9800 non pro and 9700 pro are equal, if you want to do some research and look at benchmarks

For a 9600 Pro, probably not. the 9500 standard was faster

KKAT...sorry I missed your question in your earlier post.

my 9800pro256 is cooled by a swiftech mcw50-t with stocker 80watt peltier on a dedicated h20 rig consisting of; ehiem 1048 pump, chevy copper heater core, y.s.tech 122.5cfm 122x35mm fan (attenuated),acrylic bay res., and powered by a dedicated meanwell320watt peltier psu. Voltages are attenuated by variable resistors soldered in and then monitored by soldered in datel digital displays which I mount with velcro near the variable resistors. Drill some fine wholes in your door and you can just stick a screw driver in to add voltage with no need to pop the door and bust out the volt meter:-)

Castor Troy...

You have an FX5200 video card. Look on Futuremark's website and do a comparison. But the 5200 isn't that great of a card.

It's still a low score mind you, but people have been getting higher than that. Also, what resolution are you running? You gotta compare the same resolution. Lastly, I can't recall if the FX5200 is a true DX9 card. DX9 cards will do much better at 3dmark03.

Athlon XP 2400+ Thorton (stock for now)
9600 Pro 454/362
512 MB Crucial PC 2100
Thermaltake Volcano 11
100 gig WD 8mb cache

My score with my old Palomino 1800+ was around 3700. At 454/362 I get 3831, at max 486/362 almost 4000 (3996). I haven't had the chance to test with the Thorton yet. Still making sure it's stable.

well my best score was 1811 on 3dmark 03
im using an nvidia 5600 xt (i know its crap)
its o/c using coolbits to 305 core and 480 clock
any higher and 3dmark either locks up or gets artifacts
anyway when you o/c video cards should you up the agp voltage or not
my a7n8x-e allows agp voltage from 1.5 to 1.7
my cpu is a 2500 o/c to 2.3(11.5x200)at 1.725v
your input would be apreciated
thanks
