answer these questions, there form hardware software and internet security. I will post the answers some other time!

1 you go away for a week on holiday, you come back and you cant get on line , you have a DSL connection.
whats wrong.
a your computer got fried from a possible thunder storm
b your ISP dont like you know more and found you were downloading porn
c you have had a power cut and you router needs resetting
d you contracted a viruse and need to format to clear your system

2 you just got a new game, youve installed it and it keeps crashing. what should you do.

a re install it
b check web site for patches and updates
c take it back to the shop.
d check system drivers and game patches.

3 you hardware wizzard fails to install a new modem, the modem works but message comes up failed to start modem installer.

a kick the case and poor water into the cd drive.
b download a new windows installer from the MS site
c remove windows and reinstall
d try other PCI slot.

4 your new PC you built keeps shutting down, it run for a few seconds then just switches off.
a you got a faulty mobo

how oftem should you scan your system for spy ware ( not viruse as it different)
a once a month
b once a week

Virus scanning should be done in this manner.
a scan once a day to check for viruses using auto update. with out huristic scanns and macros (excell) scanning
b scan every week using a manual update of the software with all scanning available including on access scanning.
c on access acanning with twice daily updates invoked manualy all scanning enabled at upper levels
d use two scanners all options on and both on active scanning auto updates shedualed or each day


10 you r CPU shows a VIOS temp of 65oc what you going to do.
a switch off PC and call in a "exspert" .
b apply themal paste
c remove case to see if it drops and run like that or buy a new fan to add
d take off case and claen the cpu cooler and heat sink, check ing all of the case for dust build up.

11 your speaker have stopped working..
a do a check on the system set up to check settings are correct and software that is with sound device.
b check plugs and jacks, remove the windows auto update and get another driver form the manurfactres site checking that speakers config is correct
c check vol switch and your always knocking it check drivers
d bang them till they work and turn the volume all the way up.

1.) c... this happened to me a lot, but for some reason it works now.
2.) b then d then a then c.
3.) None of the above. Install it manually.
4.) b then d then a then c.
5.) either a or b. The HDD will not cause it to fail to boot.
6.) d, or use Windows XP CD Burning Wizard.
7.) c, then download a pop-up blocker.
8.) b, but if you haven't downloaded anything recently then a.
9.) b... this is what I do.
10.) d... I just did this recently .From 57C down to <40C.
11.) c... always!

you should talk to sander about adding this quiz to a noobs read this first post.....it would eliminate alot of the same old questions. Maybe post the questions and answers together and make them check a box confirming that they have read and understand them:-)

too bad people dont listen, the Program called Spyware Blaster prevents Spyware,dialers etc from being installed on the computer, it is practically got updates everyweek, also this program is simple to use, doesnt use windows resources.

search for Spyware Blaster on google.Oh the only thing that it doesnt do is remove spyware, its practically a passive firewall.
