I have 80 GB 7200rpm Seagate HDD, but I am not able to find the place where I can enable or disable DMA Settings in Win XP Pro. Please, If someone can tell me where to find it.

from the start menu;
right click my computer,
click properties,
click the hardware tab,
click the device manager button,
click the plus symbol next to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers,
right click the ide channel that corresponds to the one you want,
then click properties,
you should then see drive 0 and 1 settings for that ide channel and have the option to run pio or dma....however it wont allow you to change the level of dma.
