Hello,

I know you need to have a splitter wherever you have your broadband connection going into your phone line but I would be grateful if someone could clear up the following for me.

If i were to have the wires like so would it work:

Broadband + telephone -> splitter

from the above the splitter would then connect to an extension cable, which would join a phone line but also have another telephone where it joins the splitter.

(Broadband + telephone -> splitter) -> telephone extension cable + telephone -> outside line.

Would the above work, or would i need another splitter just before the outside line (possibly)?

I hope I have made it clear and someone can help me with this.

Thank you

this is how i have setup the line here but if you place the filter before the router not the after the spliter. but i think you will have to use the lower option

out side world socket--------spliter----- router--PC

sorr y didnt write in sooner,

yes place the filter line to the phone extenshion is fine with the other to the router. as long as there after the filter the phones will work fine.

i didnt use a filter on my phone for a long time, it just kept cutting off eachtime i answered the phone.,
