My AMD 2400+ temperatures never seem to get above 50C (which is a good thing!), but I am worried. Is the motherboard throttling my CPU, or are the sensors broken. I don't remember any option in the motherboard about throttling. Only settings I remember are warning temparature and shutdown temperature. But I find it odd that my temperatures are never higher than 50C, no matter the room temparature.

On a hot summer day in this room, without air conditioning, it can get to 85F. And even though my CPU is idling at 48C at that time, if I start a game, it maxes at 50C. Yet when room temperature is in the low 70s, the CPU temp idles at 41C and maxes at around 45C. That's 4 degrees of change! So how does my temp only go up 2 degrees when it is hot in the room? Only thing I can think of it that the warning temperature setting in the BIOS is also the throttled temp (warning temp is like 53C or 55C, forgot)?
