....that Tyan actually got back to you with a positive response. I found their earlier response to your request for a replacement board to be disturbing.
Can't wait to see the review of that board.....woohoo!!!!
Don't know if you guys have them lying around, but if you do, might I suggest not only testing the board with dual Athlon MP's but Athlon T-Birds as well. I'm sure there are many enthusiasts who would like to know if the Tiger offers anything for them without having to get MP's.

Not going to happen. Looks like Tyan USA is not willing to ship us a sample. Sorry folks, not much we can do about that, really sorry to see that they're not willing to support us in our attempts to provide good objective evaluation of their products.
Yeah, I'd guess that would do the trick, but I'd rather not disclose my contact's details. Although I must say he's been all but easy to work with, unlike all others we've worked with in the past and are currently working with.
That's a shame. I know there has been at least one review of it online. All things considered, I probably haven't been keeping as close an eye on this as I'd like to have done.
I really hope they weren't just being petty when they decided not to send the Tiger. Time was, Tyan was a respected name with regards to workstation class PC's. A company I used to work for used their motherboards exclusively for the PC's and workstations we built for our customers.
Okay, I tried once more, for the xxth time, in the nicest possible way, to get a sample from Tyan USA, but it looks like they're impossible to work with. Here's a transscipt of the email I sent and Tyan's reply:
Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, all review samples of our Tiger
MP S2460 have already been sent out to editors worldwide.
I'd like to take a moment of your time and clarify a few things. First off our experiences with the Thunder K7 were unfortunate and I've just gotten confirmation from the distributor that the motherboard we used was indeed defective. Furthermore I'd like to stress that every review we do is on a case-by-case basis, we bare no grudge but do our best to give each product a thorough and objective review. If I left a different impression I'm truely sorry.
In that light we'd like to ask once more whether you'd be able to get us a Tiger MP S2460 motherboard for review, if possible with on-board raid. As our readers have made numerous requests for such a review, and we ourselves would definitely like to take another look at one of Tyan's products.
Many of you have used the private messenger or email to let me know that you've emailed Tyan to support us with a sample. Just wanted to say that I appreciate the support from you as you clearly seem to value our evaluation of Tyan's Tiger MP platform. I'm hoping that Tyan will realize that they're missing out on an opportunity here.
I just got an email from Tyan and they're shipping us a board as soon as their new stock arrives. I'd like to thank Tyan and Matt Vernon in particular for supporting us and we'll make sure the Tyan Tiger MP gets and indepth, objective and thorough evaluation.
I'd like to thank our readers for their support and the kind words, both in this thread as well as in private messages and emails, your comments have made it all worthwhile.
