Hey! Everyone,
I am new, and willing to share my recent experience about my AGP cards.

I am no longer a NVIDIA fan! I am totally lost my confidence on Geforce cards.
Here is my story for those who still have hopes with nvidia.
It was several months ago, after a LAN party with my dudes, who showed me their Radeon cards, I decided to replace my Ti4200 with a Radeon 9600 Pro.
I bought this card from Newegg, made by PowerColor, for about $140

I felt that nVidia played tricks on their drivers to speed up 3D benchmarks, while causing the quality of 3D graphic to be poor.
Radeon, on the other side, produced much better graphical details and realism. This conclusion was made after I had that LAN party.
After I bought that PowerColor (cheaper than ATI, and no quality nor performance difference), I re-experienced the games I have played long with Geforce.
When nvidia scarifies image quality for speed, users would hardly noticed unless they have a chance to look at images by Radeon cards.
Price wise, I rule for the Radeon card by PowerColor. Rather than ATI, I noticed (at least on my card), the over-clock ability was great! Using a software tweak, like powerstrip, to archive 10% performance increase was a CAKE.
After all the Geforce 2, 4, and MX series, I am with PowerColor now!

yeah the 9600 pro isn't a bad card...

the ti series of nvidia was pretty good...the 4600 was great in it's day...but with dx9 here and like you say the visuals sacrificed for framerate it's clear that currently ati rules that roost...

i have a powercolor 9800 pro and i'm very happy with it...

though if i could have found a sapphire 9800pro i'd rather have had it...they overclock a lot better even with a stock cooler on...

I change my hardware so often I can hardly keep track anymore...

Currently X2 4800, 1 gig Redline, X850, Dfi Mobo, etc. which may or may not be current at time of posting...

I do Phase :D

i love the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro AIl In Wonder Card i have, just had problems getting it to work stabily with my Asus P4S8X, but with the MSI K7N2 Delta-L board i have i dont have to make such adjustments, i mean the performance of the 9700 Pro is awsome for it being 2 years old as compared to the 9600 and 9800 series.

I have just swapped from an MSI GEFORCE 5900 TD to a ICEQ RADEON 9800 PRO and i was amazed at the difference it made not only with games but with video and pic's and general desktop.
I have always used Nvidia but now I will check out ATI first, although it may be a while before I can afford the next gen cards!

Nvidia definitely had a good series. From the TNTs to the Geforce 4 TI. However, their reign is over!

i just did a price check for ATI Radeon 9700 Pro at EB games and its running $250 USD, i would assume the price of that board is still up because of the rarity to find one since ATI discontinued production of that board.
