The new ATI X800 XT hands down! As HWA has said, It doesn't take up 2 slots, so this is saving you room. It takes less power to run, so if you don't have have one of those big powerful power boxes, it's still possible to run. It generates less heat and that's with a SMALL fan. AND IT'S SCORES CAME CLOSE TO GEFORCE 6800 ULTRA! It came close, yes, but if you read how nVidia took those shortcuts eliminating some of the guality to gain performance, ATI could have done the same but they have another reputation to live up to. GOOD QUALITY IMAGES! So in my opinion, the ATI X800 XT is the new king no arguements about it! :)

Although Nvidia says the card needs a 480 watt power supply, I remember reading somewhere that on a 400 watt it worked fine. Anyone know if this is confirmed and where? If so I may buy their card instead of ATI. Not willing to upgrade from a 420 power supply that I put in less than 2 months ago.

The cards performance is not that impressive at stock speeds. The big question is how well will it over clock? Geforce 6800 ultra exstreme or ultra over clocked to 450 MHz core and 1.15 ram will pass 14,000 on 3dmark03. My geforce 6800 GT running 456 MHz core 1.17 ram stable 50c temps runs 14,292 on 3dmark03 with total perfection in graphics’ and no artifacting. The big question now is will ATI core over clock high enouf to compeat and stay stable.
