I'm having problems with my system getting very hot, it boots up at 49C or lower and than goes to 59-65C
within just a few seconds. I have sent the CPU and heatsink fan in for testing and there is nothing wrong with it
and I have sent my motheboard in twice now and they say there is nothing wrong. It is still getting too hot. All this started when I did a clean install of Windows XP Home edition.
Any one have any suggestion or ideas as to how I can get this to stay cool.

Francine

ur motherboard might be reading in the core of the processor which will be that hot, surface temperature is what u have to worry about If u think there is still a problem run the computer for a little bit Turn it offf, open the case, touch bare metal on the case, then feel the cpu heatsink briefly if it is extremely hot reply back on this forum

On the Gigabyte website they explain that the BIOS reading is about 10* high, get the latest revision
