X Copy watermark? Is that the proper name? I searched in google and the results read it as Dvd Download X Copy and other names similar to that. Maybe the proper name might help a bit? Of course, I know a lot of warez sites but rules state here, or at least what people say, no posting warez here :)

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no!

I don't crack programs. I just use the cracks which other people have made already. :)

I'm legit. I use the program. If I like it, I find a crack and crack it. No crime in that. Besides, cracks are made to help people who can't afford it or for games for example, too lazy to put in the CD all the time. :) But yeh, sure, it's bad. Very bad. Have to agree on that.

Dvd x copy puts a watermark on backup copies of dvd's used by thier program. Preventing you frommaking a backup of a backup. I was wondering if there was a way to get around this. I know that you can use other burning software to make backup of backup, I'm just not fimiliar with these programs.

Use Virtal Cd or deamon Tools to mount your original CD images into ur fake Cd-rom, u wont need a crack and get more benerfit of backing up ur original CDs and having no trouble playing online games.

I use ClondCD and Daemon Tools to mount iamges of my CDs. I have no problem at all.

Thanks for the advice. I will have to experiment with these programs. Do any of these programs burn to dvd? Or only CD's? Do they also have compression?
Thank you for the replies

I personally like Nero. It's easy to use. You should try nero. Download 6. Use Nero Express. That's real easy to use.

I also use Alcohol 120% which is really good at copying stuff. 1:1 ratio. In otherwords, that copied backup will work like an original one. :) I can create image's (eg. .iso) and burn images onto it easily. Automatically extracts those images so you don't need to mount or anything. It's realy good.

What exactly are you trying to do??? Make back-ups of DVD movies or games? Do you mean the disclaimer that DVD X Copy puts at the beginning of movies basically saying that "this is a copy and is only legally usable by the owner of the original" etc. etc. If so, you're aout of luck. Short of decompiling the software, you're stuck with it.

For movies, I'd recommend DVD Decrypter to read the movie, DVDToolbox to split it into smaller sections and Nero 6 Ultra to burn the bits onto DVD.

No matter which way you slice it, a cracks a crack and it's illegal.

Think of it this way, suppose your in business for yourself and put a product out.
In order to use it, they need to pay you for a license key.
Anyone who has a crack for your product doesn't have to pay you to use the product.
Dude, your now losing money and will surely go out of business.

Can't post requests like that here on HWA. Read the FUP.

http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/about_us/fair_use_policy/

but you can go visit a warez site to find that type of stuff.
Beware of hackers and viruses my friend......

When DVDXCOPY Gold copies the image to the HDD, got to my computer, open up the temp file, and delete the file w/ the Backup screen

It really is the simple

Then procede with the burning process

DUH!

Matter of fact, at that point you can copy the rest of the file and rename it and play or burn it whenever.

Hell I made a DVDXCOPY cheat disc that brings you to the burn part of the process to burn movies that you have left on the HDD drive from a previous session w/out having to cycle thru the program

PEACE
