Hi
Im having problems with my laptop screen, i can be working through files on my laptop or surfing the net and all of a sudden the screen will go completely blank but still be working with all sounds ect.
This has become quite annoying, the only way i can continue to look at things on my screen again is to press a switch (a switch/button near the laptop screen) which will then turn it half off then to make it work again i press return or the same switch again. It then lets me continue with what i was last doin. (This problem will occure about 5 times or even more depending on how long i have my laptop on for)

Is this a graphics card problem?

My laptop is using XP.

Any help would be great :o)

really need some advice with this,

how old is it? if it is past 3 years old then i think the power supply on the motherboard might be going

Hey,

If you have a monitor around and a key board, plug them in to your laptop and close the laptop...

If this problem happens with the monitor plugged in, its either winXP or your laptop is about to die
