Try machine code or assembly language.....those of you who are old enough to remember those days will know what I mean.....;-)

Hehehe funny Andy :)

I am currently learning C in school, but have learned some VB and QB (even though they arent languages.. ;))

I'm not a programming type, but it's interesting. O, and Calc, I would say maybe 50-60% of Windows things can be/ or are written in C/C++.

I met someone the other day who spoke only in 1337. It was pretty entertaining.

Calculus:
LISP is a language mainly used for AI programming. It's short for LISt Processing.

The hardest language would have to be Assembly with everything written in 1's and 0's.(mmm or maybe not :P)

LOL!!!!! C++ is EVERYWHERE. EVERYWHERE!!!!

And it's definitely not the hardest language becuase I know it inside-out. :)
By the way, Calculus, wasn't one of your previous names in HWA Codename C++? How could you name yourself that and not have a clue about what it is!?
I pity you. ;)

C++ is industry standard man.
It's your foundation as a programmer.

And assembly is not coded in 0's and 1's.
It's written in assembly language, and then an assembler converts it to machoine code.
Typically this takes 2 passes, 1 pass to build a link table and whatnot, another pass to build the machine code and link it with the libraries.

Yes, I know the hell of assembly.

But, NO programming language is hard to learn.
They are all very logical.
Just learn the syntax, available commands/operations/etc and you're good.

Language is easy.
Implementing the language to develop a program is the trick.
High level languages like C++ and Java make it wasy on the programmer because you can work with objects and loops and variables and etc without having to deal with the registers of memory addresses explicitly.
Then again, you don't have full control.

Programming is very, VERY easy once you draw up your flow chart.
But no one ever makes the flow charts, then they sit up at 4 am and wonder why ther mess of code doesn't work.

Also, something else I was gonna say, forgot, let me think.
Dammit I don't remember. Oh well. Oh yeah.

Algorithms. Bug testing. These are the most difficult aspects of programming, and they generally have nothing to do with the specific programming language.

I started laughing at the assembly comment and then Brian beat me to correcting it. I've had a taste of C++, Java, Pascal, BASIC and Assembly. So far, x86 Assembly is the hardest and even then, the only reason it is hard is because I don't know all the syntax (i slept through a few classes).

I think , C++ is the best thing since sliced bread ... It took me about two years to learn it
but I just cant see my self using anything else to write games with , Yes it has a very
complex nature .Once you learn it you will never want to use ant thing else
try finding : C++ Black Book , It is great for any one wanting to learn . There's not
many tutorials in it but it is an A-Z book on the subject .....
