is there any way of retrieving file after you have deleted them from the recycle bin- a friend of mine downloaded his honeymoon photos on to his computer and then onto a cd then the photo shop went and lost his disc. any suggestions would be extremely appreciated!

There are some programs that you can get to recover deleted files, like Undelete, etc, but I've never use 'em, so I don't know how good of a chance you have at recovering it all. You'd have a better chance of getting them if you don't install anything till you get the program, because the file isn't actually gone till it's written over.
