Hey everybody,
I'm thinking about adding home made MOD cases to my inventory.. Im just wondering if anyone ever actually made their own case MOD using a nibblier cutter and then sticking a window kit in. Is it hard? Is it easy? Let me know about it!

Yeah I did it it was fun. I used a dremel tool to cut out a window shape and then went to pcmods.com and got a DIY window kit 24" x 24" plexi glass. and The lining. It was fun. I did it to my mid tower case and now I am going to buy a Full tower case and give it a paint job and get waaay heavier in the modding section. yeah its fun just takes time and patience. Have fun....

Don't THINK ! Just START! Find a cheap case and break it, then an other one, until you actually succeed! :) It's not a problem to put your hands at work, the big problem is to have a good idea! That's why you got to think a lot, before go and cut :)
Good Luck!

I was using 256MB of PC2100 DDR. Now, after I put in the blue light and the window, my memory is up to 512MB, and all the girls want me!

What kind of dremel bit do you use to cut up your cases? My friend and I wore down 5 little dremel things before we got bored and pulled out a pnumatic grinder type deal that totally cut up my case. It's an Antec case and the steel is really thick. I was thinking of useing a plasma or oxyfuel torch next time.

yeah i have been doing it for a long time and its real easy if you have tools that you can get a hold of .....i would name all the rigs i have built but i don't have that much time ..... my advice is to use whatever you can thats cheap and/or free go to car shops exp. Autozone ,Parts America and so on because your PSU in your machine is 12 volts (yellow) and 5 volts (red) grounds (black) and a car battery is 12 volts and like 20amps your PSU is around 12-22 amps i would guess depending on how many watts it is ....if you want to figure out how many volts and amps you have divide yuor wattage by volts to get amps and divide your wattage by amps to get volts.....its Wattage over Amps times Volts or P over I times E....any way i went off there a car as i said is the same way so you can use lights cigerette lighters (i charge my cell phone with my PC) what ever once i had a radiator fan running off a AT PSU (ATs have hard wired switches) so you can do alot with car parts so buy them or go to a body shop and ask if they have any stuff they'll give you.....as far as cutting use whatever works i have used dremels - drill presses so whatever you can use ....hope this helps....oh another example is a car stereo just use aone that will fit in a 5.25" bay with 4 ohm speakers and you have a kickin homestereo (watch the heat though)
