I have recently aquired this product, however, upon changing the Administrator password I have not been able to log on as the admin user! I tried resetting using the reset button, but no luck. How do I retrieve the password??? Also, where is the SpeedCom website - if there is one???

Is that the one you have?

BTW - Did you try the old password?

Look through the manual.

says:
3.3.23 Reset to Factory Default

The Reset to Factory Default page allows the user the reset the modem to original factory default configuration (factory.reg).

That is the right product - thanks!

Re. the reset page, I can't actually get to it using the user account, and the old admin password does not work.

I used the wwebsite, however, and found that if you hold the reset button for 4 seconds everything is reset, including passwords. Thanks for the link!

I'm also having problems with this router... I need to open up a series of UDP ports ( more than 40 in a range)

Although the virtual server doesn't allow more than 20 individual ports...

Is there anyway to turn off the hardware firewall so that I just use the software firewalls on my home networked machines and allow TCP and UDP traffic ?

Thanks.

Zac.

PS: I have the router manual but I find it really hard to understand as I believe its a straight/poor translation into English.

Hold reset for some time, and replug the power...

if it dot work it could have developed a fault.. bin it and get a new one.. simple., some times a left one for a few hour .. it should work
