At last someone's made a good point, I don't buy CD's anymore, they cost too much and if I can't play them back where I want, why even bother? Very good article Sander, you went right to the bottom with it! :)

I disagree with the pay per song or lesser quality downloading. The reason I use p2p is usually to check out an album before I buy it. I won't buy it if it sucks. There is no point in making people pay fors**tty music and I will never support a subscription service to listen to music. XM KEEP IT COMIN' BABY

Good article - I agree with thoughts expressed. I wouldn't pay to download lesser quality recordings - I use P2P to evaluate potential purchases and get the one track I like instead of having to buy 14!
Why can't musicians make money the way they did in the past - giving live performances. That way the good performers would be rewarded.
There are often better musicians in clubs and pubs than on CD, and tonight people are paying 150 a ticket for the George Harrison Concert in London.
I think the music industry has brought about it's on demise making demi-Gods of semi-talented musicians and not fostering real talent.

The music industry has most definitely brought forth its own demise.
