What do you all think of this board http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=K8T_Neo-FS...p;class=mb ? I know that it has alot of features, but I don't know much about the performance on the chipset. I have researched the K8T800 and the NVidia NForce3 250 GB, and I've seen benchmarks and forums say that they are the same, or one completely outdoes the other. I'm considering buying this board, I just bought the processor for it (Athlon 64 2800+), but the chipset is the only concern, If anyone knows anything about this board, or the chipset, please help. All help is appreciated.

Not bad but i would try for skt 939 board . that way laterdown the road you can upgrade to an fx processor when they are cheaper.

AMD ATHLON 64 3000+
ASUS A8V- DELUXE WIFI@HOME
IGB-KINGSTON HYPER X PC3200
40GB MAXTOR
163GB HITACHI DESKSTAR 150 SATA
SAPPHIRETECH RADEON 9600XT W/256

NVIDIA: SOME SWEAR BY THEM OTHERS SWEAR AT THEM.

I have the same board but with 939. Get the 939 model bro. It over clocks very nice even better then the nforce 3 board.

Yeah, I agree that sck 939 boards are better, but right now, I'm locked into 754 because I just bought the processor for a great price! A 939 setup would cost me about $125 more than the 754. I'm hoping to do a little overclocking to get the processor to 2 GHZ. Do you think that this goal is attainable? And do you think that the 754s can hold a person over until the 939's prices come down?

The MSI board or a Abit board is your best bet for overclocking.

You scared me for a moment about that RAM, Yes, it supports double sided only RAM for PC3200, I'll be using PC2700 for now.

Yes, I understand that this board is limited to only two pc3200 DIMMs, All the 754 boards that you find will be like this (because of the integrated memory controller on the processor), but it will support 3 Dimms of pc2700, in which I am going to be using. The pc3200 rule doesn't apply to me. I do realize that the 939 processors support 4 pc3200 dimms, but I have already bought a 754 processor.

i have this board and it runs well... i have a 3000 CPU and i run it with 240FSB all day... 2.4ghz isnt too bad for a 754pin. also, its stable as a rock... mine did well without even upping volts for the cpu... just the ram is at 2.85v.

What type of cooing are you using? I already have my Athlon 64 setup, with a 2800+ @ 2.025 GHZ. I overclocked my FSB to 225. I'm using stock and my CPU temp is 37*C.
