Im new to his forum, but any way. My problem is that when ever i restart my comp, it will log on then start loading up the boot up programs(Nortan Anti-Virus, AVG anti Virus, Prevex Home Security, Defengate,Secruity, AIM, XP - Pen,) and then it will flash a blue screen and reboot. For about a month, it would only reboot once, then it was happening for an like 30 times in a row when i stoped it (would go for ever). So told it to boot with last known good settings, this then worked for about 2 weeks and then the rebooting started again. And today, i had to reset the settings again. It is fixable by doing that, but it is anoying and i was wondering if there is ne permante solution...
i run Win Xp (should explain most my problems : ) ) If you need ne more info, let me know, il be watching this forum for the next few hours. Thanks in advance

I would say two anti-virus softwares trying to run at the same time would definitely be one of the problems.

Get rid of one of them and then try running your system to see if it becomes more stable.

You can use 2 Anti Viruses but if the 2 try to scan a file at the same time it can cause problems, maybe because both will be reading the memory at the start up they have more chance of bumping into each other, If you want to have your computer checked by 2 different AV's why dont you keep 1 AV and do regular checkup using a scanner like trendmicros online scanner. You could try using safe mode to get into your computer if you cant access it.

First thing you should do .. is press F8 constantly while booting until a black screen appears with some options, there you choose the LAST KNOWN CONFIGURATION THAT WORKED or something that like. Then wait, If it does it again reboot your system as FAILURE MODE and there delete one of your antiviruses then reboot. If it aint working then you should go to your CMOS/BIOS options and LOAD OPTIMIZED SETTINGS or some like that, then save and exit. It will reboot, if that didnt work either then I cant think right now of another thing you can do, just to format ur HD with the cd that came with your PC, and that might solve for problem.
