I have to admit that I'm not too hopeful as the old one used to work
>>>You're not the only one that has ever felt this way.lol
I suggested this method to about three members that had the same issue as you and they were finally able to load windows. Everybodies computer is a little different, may or may not for you, but...

but hey I'll give anything a go once.
>>>Good attitude, you'll go places with your board if you keep thinking this way, but once is not enough. I can provide you with ten different methods of fixing your problem that you haven't even tried yet.

Mike :)

Hi Mike, yes my original problem was actually that SLI was not working, the fact that one card didnt work in one slot was just an observation made during the debugging of the SLI problem, but i am very glad that card is working in the slot where it wasnt working before, at least it lifts some doubt that this is a hardware problem.. Ok, here is my info:

All the following info is true for both video cards:

BIOS version: 5.43.02.16

Clock frequencies: Right now it is set to "No overclocking" so I set it to Manual overclocking just to see what clock frequencies are there right now, i found the following :

2D Core clock frequency: 300 MHz
2D Memory clock frequency: 1 GHz

3D Core clock frequency: 500 MHz
3D Memory clock frequency: 1 GHz

I am using motherboard BIOS version 1007_3

Thanks Mike, waiting for your reply.

Out of SLI mode, can you try your game on both cards?
Monitor 1 uncheck the extended monitor 2(monitor 2 not highligthed) and
Monitor 2 as primary monitor (setting in Display Properties, click on monitor 2, check the make primary monitor box and uncheck the extend monitor box) then put your cable on that card.

Let me know what happens.

Mike :)

Hi Mike, I just tried the game on both cards. I ran into trouble immediately with monitor 1. Screen was garbled even before we got to the game (logos) and when the game is supposed to start, it locked up. With monitor 2 it worked perfectly. Interesting!!..what do you think? :) Thanks, and waiting for your reply Mike.

I have it set in Ai Booster at 103%. As an attempt to not restart - to answer your question about the multilier, I just restored the bios to original settings. =\ any ideas?

A week ago i was having an issue with my computer restarting itself and I was waiting for the moment it would do it again so i could catch the error. The error seeems to be a system error 102. Aftering doing some research It looks like it could be a memory chip error? Does that sound right to you? How can I fix this problem so it doesn't happen again?

thanx

>>>Copy the BIOS from your second video card, which will be (1) in the flash utility and flash the first card (0) with it. I hope you have some experience in flashing, if not there are recent posts on how to. Clear your CMOS after the flash and try the game on the first card again.

My Enermax Coolergiant EG435AX just arrived but I still can't get the PC to boot up, all the fans power up and I've tried my Asus N6600GT in both pci-e slots, with and without EZ Plug power connection and this is with no drives connected - just mobo, cpu and graphics.

Is it time to start sending things back?

Hello guys,
has anyone tried the new beta BIOS?
I did and the system is running stable, but I have a minor bug: when I save and exit the BIOS or when I reset the machine, the mainboard boots twice.
Any suggestions?
Best regards.

HElp!!!. I just switched over my case to a new Lian Li. Upon booting up i get to the Asus page saying hit Del to enter setup, and everything hangs there. All fans are turning, the green LED is lighted etc. i'm stymied. During one power up, early in the installation, I did smell a little something like burning. I disconnected checked all connections and restarted and no bad indications. I looked the entire MoBo over completely and so no indication of a short. The only change I made was to add a Zelman 7700 cooler. The installl was strightforward, the CPU cleaned up well and the fan is working fine. i'm at a loss here. I can't even get it to go into BIOS, i can only get as far as the entering setup page and it hangs. Any ideas guys?

Hi Mike, I reflashed the defective card with the BIOS from the functioning card using NVFLASH and we still have the same results:

Card in Primary PCIEx slot: game displays garbled logos then locks up
Card in Secondary PCIEx slot: game functions properly

Thanks Mike, waiting for your reply...

Yes I ran the Memtest and it tested my memory out fine.

I also researched and it said that it also could be the battery .. is there a battery on the board?

what else can becausing a system error 102?

RMA your card in slot 1, it's defective.
PS - We tried, but I now know your card is toast, don't waste any time, RMA.
