Marc, thanks for confirming the the cards are SLI Certified.
That got me worried for a second:)

Voltages:
11.84v
5.026v
3.312v
1.488v
http://www.skytech.plus.com/voltages.bmp

This was done while the computer was idle.

One thing, the ASUS bios update program says that 1010 is FINAL and the only other files listed is 1011-02 beta. Tried to downgrade to 1008 but it wasn't in the bios list. This on ftp://ftp.asus.de server the other two didn't have any bios listed.

Adam-
Just make sure that the single/dual card is firmly seated, it isn't the best designed setup and is easy to install slightly off. Also, ensure that you have a 4 pin molex power connector in the EZ Plug socket in the middle of the mobo by the back I/O panel. Then, tell Asus probe to record (on the history page I believe) and run 3DMark05 in SLI and see what the voltages look like when it freezes.

The one thing that stands out in this report is:+12V Voltage : 11.42V (Min 11.42V; Avg 11.43V; Max 11.48V) which I think is way low and can cause a multitude of problems.

Pfew, do I have patience or what? --> my board came back from RMA today (well actually the shop says it's a replacement).

Put it in, did a clean XP instal on a single sata (JBOD and it's a Maxtor)

It did BSOD a few times installing the drivers of the Asus CD that came with the board.

Besides that, I have gamed a few hours now, no problems!! :D

/me happy

Adan Rodgers-
According to ASUS, 1010 is a beta. Check http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
for 1008. That being said people are running 1010 with no reported problems.

Very impressive power supply and certified by NVidia but it only has 18A on the Quad(whatever that is) rails. 18 A is not enough, I am using a power supply that is putting out 26A on the 12V rail and it consistantly is at 11.89 - 11.95 V running dual SLI and 3 WD Raptors. And it costs a lot less.

You're not reading the specs correctly, that thing (Zeus PSU) has like 45+ amps on the 12v side. 4 x 12V rails total. He is either getting bad readings, has everything hooked up to 1 rail or the PSU is bad because the Zeus can easily handle his rig.

Hello, i think this as been asked already but I can't work out how to seach all 150 pages of this faq, as opposed to the forums, so my apologies.

Is a Gigabyte GV-RX80L256V fully compatible with the Asus A8N SLI Deluxe? (Just the one, no SLi)

Thanks, Rob.

Thanks, that search worked a treat...although it turns out no one has asked the question before! So, erm, is it safe to mix this mobo and a Gigabyte GV-RX80L256V? ;)

Good luck on your benchmarks!

>Can you use ASUS probe and give me your voltages there?
SiSoftware Sandra is known to give the wrong readings for voltage.

@Merc
I'll try to get a log of the voltages while running 3DMark '05 in the morning.
I'll also have a play around with the single/dual card select, pretty sure its in properly but I'll check.
I know I've got the power pluged into the EZ plug cause I missed it when I first put my rig together (reading the manual does help at times:)
