I'd say you're better off attacking the source of the heat rather than trying to add more and more fans to remove it.

1. CPU - probably an Athlon? Aluminium heatsink with small fan? Replace said heatsink with copper variety and 80mm fan (GlobalWin CAK4-88T for example)

2. Graphics card - high end GeForce or ATI Radeon? Not a lot you can do other than check the cooling fan works.

Fitting too many fans can cause problems because it can upset the airflow inside the case. Ideally, you want cold air to be drawn in from the bottom front of the case, up the tower and then exhaust out the back so the air is drawn over the motherboard.

I agree with the comments that Andy made. But I think the evidence is pretty good that the airflow isn't too bad. Especially if they drop the cpu temp by 10 degrees. I would be more than happy with a 10 degree drop. And as long as nothing seems to be affected after the installation of the fans then I don't see any reason why you shouldn't keep them in. I'm talking about maybe freezes in win that weren't happening before. Just keep an eye on it for a while.
