Allright, I've been using 2 drives (Liteon CD-RW {Master} and Liteon DVD-RW {Slave}) forever and the've worked okay until now. When I unplug the Slave drive, the master works alone. I switched the drives up and the one that previously functioned, now is non-functional. Basically the only functioning config i have is where a single master drive is being used. Im not sure if the mobo is damaged because the drives arent recognized in POST when the computer boots unless their is only a master. Please Help!!!
Thanks :D

You should first make sure that the connector that was plugged intot he slave before is still being plugged in the slave now.

Also, trying booting without any cd drives plugged in, then connect both, and boot.
Also, check them damn jumpers aagin.

im truly sorry if i am confusing you, but it is a confusing situation. Any drive configuration will not be recognized by windows and/or bios/post other than a SINGLE drive attched to the board as MASTER. TWO drives under ANY configuration wont work. Both of the drives are in good working order.

HOLY CRAP. I just experienced one of those "computer miracles" where something breaks and is fixed by itself. I returned the drives into their REGULAR positions the 3rd time and BAM! it worked. Thank you for your time/help :D:D:D
seriously, it was probably a dust mite/rodent/arachnid blocking the jumpers/leads or sumthin :D:D:D
