Which one should I get, but before you choose check out my specs:

1.47 GHZ AMD XP
512 RAM
120 GIG HD (40+80)
Geforce FX 5200 128DDR
56k Modem

Would my pc be able to handle it and look good??? If I get the gamecube I could play co-op mode with my friends and the game would look pretty decent, but I would have to use a controller and no multiplayer. Which the pc game lets me use a keyboard which I prefer, but has multiplayer but I wont be using it because of my 56k. I really want to pre-order this game becuase it comes with a limited collectors edition DVD, but I just don't know what system to pre-order it for. And I can't download a demo beucase its too big and it would take me a month and gamecube doesn't have a demo disk of it too.

So what you guys think??????.

Because of your computer's specs I'm going to have to recommend the Gamecube version.

I agree to a point. Yes the Gamecube version will run and look better, but the PC controls are way better.
My recommendation is get it on Gamecube and save your money to upgrade your PC to at least toe following:

Athlon XP or 64 3000+ CPU
a mobo by ASUS
1 gig ram ( Lots of ram on sale at newegg.com right now. )
Geforce 6600GT 128mb vid card

And then buy Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory on PC and go home happy!!!

I recommend waiting until it comes out on PS2.

Gamecube is ok, but PS2 is better in my opinion.

Guys I have only gamecube and PC so I could only get it for those systems only. BTW, I heard the gamecube version is the worst of the bunch (graphic wise), so I dunno. I played the first SC fine on my pc and pandora tommorrow ran ok, but I really like the co-op mode for the cube and I can't do any multiplayer for PC until I could afford cable internet. Also with pc there are always people modding games and I like that, and the game cube Im pretty much stuck with the game, which isn't all bad. But when the PC version comes out it is probably going to be a little cheaper than the cube version, cause at Fry's electronics, when a pc game comes out it is usually on sale, while the console games do not go on sale.

So I guess its the cube version for me!

Probably not too well on a 5200XT, pratap reddy.

You're going to want a better video card.

^ I ask on this forum becuase these people know a lot about games and computers. The fact is I was wondering if my specs were good enough to play on my pc and if not should I just get the cube version. Not everyone here is a xbox fanboy or a gfx whore.

i was wondering if the 256 ati radeon x700 will make the performance of splinter cell chaos theory very well. I wanted to know if there would be ANY smudging (Smudging is lagging except smudging is when your not online and are playing).

Why dont you head over to fileplanet.com and download the demo to see how well you PC plays it then make you mind up if it runs like a car with square wheels then you have really no option but to get the GC version, if Splinter is you game I know some people in here said get the PS2 version which you dont have then maybe you could invest in a PS2 you can pick up a second hand 1 for peanuts nowdays.
