I am new to this website and quickly became hooked. I also just bought my first computer in Nov '02 so when I say I am a novice, you will understand just how so.

About 2 wks ago I upgraded my sound to the SB audigy 2 platinum and have been blown away since. I did the install myself and encountered no problems whatsoever. This was, as you can probably guess, the first time I had ever even seen the inside of a computer, much less mucked around inside. The drive and board came w/very adequate instructions. The real surprise, though, came when I rebooted after the install and was finally able to test my new sound. I can describe it best in just 2 words.. IT ROCKS!!!

To any one who wants to upgrade to superior sound, I would highly recommend this product. It is a bit pricey, though. Although if you don't already have the games Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, and SoF 2 Double Helix, it takes some lf the sting out of the high price as these games come in the box.

Am now making plans to build a computer from ground up and find the articles and resources of this site invaluable. Keep up the good work guys.
